Journey Essential's Victoria Harvey has worked as a stylist in the fashion/film and television industry for the past 11 years. Whilst preparing for a working holiday in Spain in August 2001 she found it difficult to find any suitable clothes for the climate. Middle of winter in New Zealand, high summer in Spain. Hence the idea for Journey Essentials was born.

"New Zealanders are keen travelers and many seek some warmth and sunshine throughout our winter, whether it be a South Pacific Island, Europe or across the ditch to Northern Australia. In climates like these you need clothes that will keep you cool but look stylish at the same time. My aim is to help busy woman achieve that look with ease and confidence." says Victoria.

Journey Essentials garments are designed in New Zealand by Victoria and her team. They are manufactured in India utilising the skills of local artisans who hand embellish garments with beautiful beads, sequins, mirror work and embroidery. A fan of colour she has fabrics dyed and printed to suit the current range.

Victoria is based in Auckland where she lives with her photographer husband Andrew and her two daughters Chanel and Bella.
